Orange County Wedding Venue: Inn at the Mission

Filed in Weddings — July 20, 2021

One of the best parts about being a photographer is hearing a how a couples story begins. After years in this business, I can tell you one thing rings true; Timing is everything. First, they were passing notes in High School Biology class, next they are separated after graduation and inevitably lose touch for nearly a decade. Above all, never underestimate the power of being in the right place at the right time. Fate was on their side in 2018 when they finally reconnected unexpectedly, as a result of a dating app. The couple says, “I do” in a new Orange County Wedding Venue located in San Juan Capistrano this summer.

The perfect Southern Orange County Wedding Destination

The bride grew up in San Juan Capistrano and wanted to find the perfect Orange County Wedding Venue. The historical landmark/museum of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, aka the Birthplace of Orange County was the perfect focal point for their wedding vision. The Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, Autograph Collection, a new Marriott hotel, is adjacent to the beloved historic mission. The theme is Spanish Revival with an Olive Grove that boasts 72 trees on the property.

Wedding Ceremony at Altar

Whitney and Kevin are the first couple to have a wedding at the new venue in 2021. We see branches of olives leaves and complimentary natural greenery that welcomed the guests to their wooden, cross-back seats. With the towering olive tree overhead and the hexagon arch surrounding the audience, the ceremony was timeless and unforgettable.

The Romantics

In all our shoots, we carve out ample time to have intimate moments with the couple away from the wedding party to photograph romantics. These stone walls and florals against the hundreds of years of history of the mission are the perfect backdrop for timeless moments.
